About Nicholas Thompson

Nicholas Thompson is a Director of Special Effects, whose two obsessions of filmmaking and prosthetic make up effects have resulted in his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in film from the University of Wales and the National Film School respectively.

He co directed the Horror film 'Flesh Art' which had its premier at Fright Fest Horror Film festival at the Odeon Leister Square in 2011. He has worked with some of the finest Special Effect studios in the land including Millennium FX, Lifecast and Artem, and is currently employed as a freelance Special Effects Supervisor making the images from your head appear on screen.

This horror short is the culmination of the work of the NFTS SFX/VFX class of 2011. Nicholas Thompson co- directed the film as well as designing, sculpting, moulding, applying and painting zombie one. The short had its premier at Fright Fest 2011.
